Self Portrait of a Good Hair Day -- acrylic on canvas

Part of my pop-artish-stripe-through-face-series, I took a photograph of myself (from a crazy good hair day when I had that adorable trendy Amelie cut) xerox copied it, then painted the image on canvas.  My eyes say, "I am truly magnetic. Worship me!"
Portrait of Josh -- acrylic on canvas

A portrait of my husband Josh, also part of the stripe-through-face series.  His eyes are "blinded by the light" of his undying love for me.
You Guessed it, Frank Stallone aka The Dueling Frank Stallones

The Man.  The Icon.  Ok, maybe Icon is a little strong, but if anything Frank Stallone will always be Frank Stallone, looking like he just stepped out of his trailer on the set of "My Life as a Goomba."  Whether you know him as Sly's little bro, or as the punchline in a SNL skit, Big Frank is the answer to most Hollywood trivia questions.  He reaches for the stars yet settles for the astroid belt with "Death Blow" or "The Legend of the Rollerblade 7," but he did compose the music for "Rocky II" so give the guy a break, ok?!

Red Frank is part of the Rachel Dickason collection.
Ethel -- acrylic on canvas, part of the Debbie Marshall collection.

Commissioned portrait of beloved god mother, Ethel.  Painted from a black & white photograph I felt her eyes and quiet knowing expression were the most important to capture.
